Hey, Uncle Brent!

This is a special post for Uncle Brent from his Goddaughter, Alexis.  Brent is overseas and we’re counting down the weeks until he’s home.  He may not even have access to a computer at this point, but we can hope!

She got to talk with Uncle Brent on Mom’s real phone this weekend.  You see, she likes to use what ever looks like a phone… the remote control…

Dad’s i-pod…

(Oh, by the way, the steps are her favorite place in the house, see…)

But she forgot to tell him the good news that the snow is melting and should be gone by the time he gets home… hopefully in time to help her find her Easter basket.  But that also means we’ll be putting away her cute winter hat…

which she is very good about not leaving the house without!  The snow mounds, though, as they shrink have made our yard one muddy mess and actually filled up more than half of our sump hole.  Areas of Sioux Falls around the Big Sioux are flooded… more than I’ve ever seen them!

She’s also taken on a bit of a bad habit of putting her feet on the table while she eats.  Don’t know where she gets this stuff!

Naughty or nice… she has her big smiles & kisses waiting for Uncle Brent’s safe return… So she can share a taco with you… one of her new favorite foods!

Noah: 5 Months

IMG_2880

The little man is 5 months now! (This outfit from Auntie Carissa makes him look so grown up!)

He’s changing so much now and quickly.

He’s talking/cooing a little more, giggles with just a couple pokes to his pecs, rolls onto his side, but not all the way to his stomach and can hold himself up really well when he’s on his stomach…

He just doesn’t like to be there very often and can quickly roll back over onto his back.

He loves his jumper!!!

We’re still having some problems with his skin, especially his face. It gets red blotches pretty bad at times and there’s not much I can do other than put his moisturizer on it. We have a skin regimen to stay on top of it: moisturize twice daily, his special cream twice daily, a bath at least every other night & zyrtec before he goes to bed. I’ve also had to resort to pulling out Alexis’ old mitts to cover his hands so he doesn’t scratch himself bloody. But we’ve already seen the cycle of it all through Alexis, so I know the end is coming soon.

He also sleeps through the night every now and then…seems like he knows when I need it most & cooperates! Good little guy!.
