Sale Pending!

I have to get a couple highlights of the early part of the week out of the way first...
  • We believe Alexis got hand, foot & mouth disease late last week at day care. She had a bit of a miserable weekend & Monday but is doing much better now
  • I'm 38 weeks pregnant today so Baby Leesch #2 is scheduled to tentatively arrive in just two weeks! Feeling great, actually better than last week (I think I've dropped).
But what was probably the highlight of the week: It was a good, no, GREAT Tuesday night!

After a third open house Saturday and additional showings Sunday and Monday, by Tuesday afternoon we got our first offer on the house.

It wasn't quite what we were hoping for so we countered that night and shortly after 10 that same night, our realtor called and gave us the good news that they accepted it! So, pending some inspections on Friday afternoon, our house is SOLD!

We also got good news from our builder that same afternoon that the bids came back for our house plans and it's what we were lookin' for! So, we're meeting with him Thursday night, going to tweak just a couple things on the blueprints and try to move forward with our next house! We still need to put in an offer on a lot (we have a couple picked out) and we should be ready to break ground in time to get the foundation ready before winter!

Baa, Baa, Blue Sheep

The "duck butt" displayed two posts back is actually part of a refrigerator magnet toy. You match the animals and put them in the barn and it sings a song. However, we noticed a few weeks ago the "Blue Sheep" had disappeared.

Then, the other day, Alexis dumped out the entire box of her shoes on the floor. And what do you know? There's the "blue sheep butt"!

Bill and I looked at each other amazed (we thought Alexis had shown the sheep the inside of the garbage can, as she's been doing with other things). We decided to dump out the rest of her boxes looking for the font half of the sheep, but no luck. So we searched other areas in her room hoping it was corralled somewhere. But again, no luck.

So the "sheep butt" joined the rest of his barn yard friends on the fridge, hoping his face would also decide to show up. It wasn't even an hour later and Alexis was holding the "sheep front". We have no idea where she pulled it from! But apparently all it took was showing her the "sheep butt" to remind her she'd hid a "sheep front" somewhere.

So as the song goes: "You've made a match. Look what you've found. You've made a match. Make a sheep sound: baaaaa."

Unfortunately, Alexis hasn't quite figured out how to put the pieces in the barn herself. They tend to just end up on the floor:

And then back on the refrigerator door... sometimes.

Photo Of The Day

So Jonathan Garcia, a co-worker of mine, is also a photographer who really has an eye for capturing great moments and unique images. He posts a Photo of the Day on his Facebook page and one last week really inspired me. It caught my eye for its simplistic quality and the action it captures. But I also knew it was an image I could re-create on my own.

What do you think?
