Noah William

Alexis would like to announce the birth of her baby brother, Noah William!

Born: October 1, 2009 2:22pm
Weight: 6lbs. 5 oz.
Length: 18 3/4 inches

Now a family of four!
Aleixs arrived just minutes after the delivery to meet her new brother.
Look who I get to bring home!
Things went very smoothly and the delivery went even better than Alexis'... which I didn't think was possible.

I started having contractions Wednesday night around 6:30 but they weren't close enough together. They lasted through the night & into the morning. We walked the Mall to get them closer together until 10am, when they got pretty intense so we decided to go to the hospital.

The problem was, if I sat down, they'd go away. And once I was stationary in the Triage room, they nearly went away. But since the baby's heartbeat was dropping with the contractions I did have and I was dilated to a 3, they decided to admit us at Noon.

The walk to the next room was enough to jump start things again and after about an hour and a couple contractions, I was at a 5. 15 minutes later it was a 7 and we decided to have a little pain reliever. After 2 more contractions we were there and so was my doctor!!! She was out of town today but got back in just in time to notice I was in delivery and walked in the door just as the backup doctor was getting ready to scrub in. She sat down, and I pushed through the next contraction and there was Noah!

If it sounded easy, I'm sorry, I can't lie. That's really how it went. Hopefully it's comforting to others who may be having anxiety about an upcoming birth. The idea was to go about it as natural as possible with the best attitude as possible and this is what we got... again!
