We headed out to a park near my old high school to catch the Great Plains Balloon Race tonight. I didn't know what Aleixs would think about it or if she'd even care, but she really enjoyed the sights of all the colorful balloons! Beautiful, free weekend entertainment... can't go wrong!
There were a good 500+ people there, parking was nothing like I'd ever seen before. We could have dodged the crowds by getting up for the 5:45am race, but my alarm didn't work right and with the little girl being sick lately, when I did wake up at 5:55, I decided to let her sleep and shoot for the night event.
Even Bill thought it was amazing. There were 34 balloons... which was more than the last time I went to the race. Enjoy the pics!
