The baby girl is getting tubes on Friday.
We saw the ENT dr. yesterday and she had fluid in there again. On Monday, she finished the antibiotic from an ear infection she had from Christmas, so the doctor suggested it was time to take the next step.
While she could still get ear infections, we won't have to give her antibiotics because they'll be able to drain themselves and we can just use drops. That should help with the stomach & dehydration complications we've had when she's on the antibiotics and help her gain weight as well.
So we go in to the surgical tower tomorrow at 8am. She'll be put under for about 10 to 15 minutes while the doctor inserts the tubes and then she'll wake back up... likely a bit fussy. After an hour or so in recovery, she can go home to rest with Mom & Dad.
The doctor also wanted to get her in before her trip to Disney as this will help with her ears on the plane. We shouldn't have to worry about that at all now. She also said not to worry about the swimming pool or having to put plugs in. Guess that's not a concern like it used to be.
I'll let you know how she does...
Please also continue to read the next post about the dogs... We need some help!
